We had our send-off barbeque at Good-To-Go on Thursday. It was a great turn-out, and the food was excellent. Thank you to everyone who came, Good-To-Go, our sponsors, donors, and everyone else who has helped us and supported us along the way. We really appreciate it!
Our airplane, 46, went into maintenance yesterday for its 100 hour event and was subsequently downed for a maintenance irregularity. A small hole was found on the bulkhead that attaches the vertical stabilizer. Long story short, we had to find a new airplane for our race. Our new race airplane is Riddle 58 and because of the Air Race Classic requirements for aircraft numbering, we are now Classic 58!
We will be washing/waxing/detailing 58 today and adhering new stickers so new pictures of our airplane are forthcoming!
The plan is to leave on Monday, June 14th so it is officially crunch time.
